Buggy rides, date night hikes, and the great elk invasion

We had a beautiful spring season this year. The warmer weather allowed us to to enjoy lots of buggy rides, a date night hike, and and our beautiful yard. Unfortunately,  this spring was also a very dry one, so our local wildlife, would often come into our yard for a midnight snack. One night, I looked out and saw over a dozen elk eating trees in our back yard!

Choir concert and piano recital

It's the end of another school year which means we were able to enjoy listening to the kids sing and play the piano. We love that music is a big part of their lives and brings joy to our family.

Spring Break Mini Trip

Adam has been pretty busy Building lately so we weren't able to go on a long trip for spring break. We were able to spend a fun a day playing with the Hulse family near Payson though. We met them at the Natural Bridge. Since dogs are only allowed in certain areas of the park, Adam stayed with Daisy at the trailhead while the rest of us hiked thru the Natural Bridge. We all had a great time hiking together and viewing the sites.
Near the end of the loop, I told Caleb to run ahead and tell Adam to bring Daisy to where the trail meets and I could take her so he could hike with the kids to another area of the park. Caleb came back, and said "Dad has to stay by the car"
Ummm.....what ????
Evidently, while we were hiking Adam decided to try and sneak off the marked trail with Daisy and climbed up a steep mountain. By the time he got back down, there were Six park rangers waiting for him. They told him he needed to leave the park, but when he explained that his wife and kids were still on the trail, they let him stay, but he had to stay right by his car.  Oh brother!
So as soon as we got back to him, we ate a quick picnic lunch and left the park.
We drove back towards Payson a ways and found a great place to buggy ride. We spent the remainder of the day just riding and climbing on some cool big rocks.
Even though it wasn't a long trip, it was a great trip and we all had a blast!

"I like to play Bollyball"

On Saturday the 3rd, the girls had a stake Y.W. volleyball tournament. They had so much fun and were actually quite good! Our ward didn't have very many girls show up, so they didn't place in the tournament, but it was still fun to watch and play!
