Sarah's Patriarchal Blessing.

Sarah received her patriarchal blessing from Patriarch Maner on Sunday August 5th. She wanted to recieve it before she started high school and was able to schedule it just in the nick of time. Her blessing was as beautiful as she is, and we all felt the holy ghost so strongly bear witness that the blessing is from the Lord.  We are confident that she will live worthy to receive all the wonderful blessings in store for her. We sure love Sarah and are so very thankful she is in our Family.

Green's Peak family Campout

Towards the end of July, we went to Green's Peak for our annual Quist family Campout. This year we had Grant with us. Uncle Nathaniel got married to wonderful woman, Kristine on July 14th, so we offered to watch little Grant while his Dad went on a honeymoon. (Grants sisters all stayed in the valley with other Gurr cousins.)
As usual we had a grand time the riding buggy, playing frisbee golf, roasting marshmallows over the campfire and playing games. We sure love our family Campouts!

Colorado

We had planned to spend the first week of July at a big combined Gurr family reunion,  but unfortunately there was a terrible forest fire near where the reunion was going to take place so the reunion was cancelled. We decided to go to Silverton for the 4th of July and then head over to New Mexico to spend some time with Kris and Brook at Brook's Families cabin playing cards and riding buggies.
We had a wonderful time and even managed to squeeze in a visit to the Bar-D!
We always have fun when we play in Colorado.  The trio had a fun time with some of their Colorado cousins too. So, in a way, we sort of had a Family reunion after all.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Burk

On June 30th We went down to the valley and had a wonderful time with my Burk cousins celebrating grandpa's 90th birthday. I love my grandpa so much. What can I say? He's just pretty much the greatest grandpa in the world! And kid say he looks pretty great for an old guy.

Welcome back Tina

The kids were SO Surprised when Tina came knocking at our door last week. We are all so happy she came to visit from Norway. She was on a big USA  vacation trip with her friends, so she didn't stay long. We played one of the games we played many times with her when she lived with us. She’s still the SPOONS champion at our house!

Lake Powell! AKA Best vacation EVER!

We had a blast at Lake Powell with the Hulse family, Robert and Conner and Grandma and Grandpa Quist. We took so many photos of our fun, that ive printed another entire book with just lake Powell photos. Here are a few of our favorite pictures of our fun!

Girls camp!

The girls and I had another fun year at girls camp.

This year, the girls camped at a property next to rainbow lake. All the girls were so fun and kind to one another. I love the Young women of harvest valley ward!
