January

January was such a fun month for our family!

Adam and I kicked off this new decade by taking a “just us” trip. We went on a Cruise!!!  We began the trip by flying to Houston, then we were shuttled to Galviston Where we boarded the Disney Wonder.

After a day at sea, we arrived in Cozumel where we explored some Mayan ruins and spent a little time on the beach.

We both loved having this time to reconnect in such beautiful surroundings.

Our favorite restaurant was Tianna’s place.

Dessert anyone?  ðŸ˜‚

When we got back to AZ, Adams new truck arrived. This is his new Ford next to his old Dodge.

We spent MLK day playing in the snow with Richard’s family.

The kids and I spent the last weekend in January at Disneyland!! “DISNEYLAND!!!!”
I love this tradition of ours. We rode all the fun rides including the brand new ride, Rise of the Resistance!

Believe it or not, I did enjoy the Incredicoaster! 😂

Caleb was having some technical difficulties while eating his Beignets...

It was so fun to see to some of our Johnson cousins at the Happiest place on earth!

As you know, Adam isn’t to fond of Disneyland so while the kids and I were in California, Adam went with his dad and Mallory to Colorado. They went to the Junction Creek Cabin and shoveled snow off the roof. They also snowmobiled a ton!

Adam also got to spend time with cousins on his vacation.

Now we’re all back home again. The kids are starting track season, and everyone just keeps getting busier and busier. I’m so glad we were all able to spend some much needed quality time together.

December

Adam and I had a fun Day date, playing in the snow after our first good snowfall of the season.

The Trio’s Christmas concert was Wonderful!

Sweet 16!!! Eliza and Caleb got new snowboards and Sarah got a gift card to her favorite dress shop!
They had a big party the day after their birthday with a bunch of their friends. They are happy to be 16. I’m happy that Caleb got his drivers license!!! Yahoo!

I failed to get any pictures of Christmas morning, but the best gift came two days before Christmas, When Hulse came and surprised us with passes to Sunrise for a day of skiing and snowboarding with them! It was an absolutely wonderful day!! The kids and Adam are amazing on the slopes. Me... not so much! But I still enjoyed being their with my family and the Hulses. We make the best memories when we are with them. The day after we went to Sunrise, Adam and Micheal took the kids snowmobiling and sledding, so Lydia and I could do some last minute Christmas prep.
Christmas morning was wonderfully relaxing and we all enjoyed unwrapping our Christmas gifts.

The week after Christmas, Russ and Ashley Came for a few days with their boys to play in the snow.
We had a couple inches of snow in our yard so their boys were able to enjoy the snow right here from home. We also took them Snowmobiling and sledding as well. It was super fun!

2019 was a really awesome year for our family. The kids started driving, Adam built and sold a few houses in Shumway. Work is going well for Adam as well as for me with my Preschool. We all enjoyed great health, and the kids are just amazing and work so hard in school, sports, music.
Even though we had to say “goodbye” to Grandma Burk this year, we rejoice in the knowledge that we will see her again.  We’re so grateful for this knowledge and for all of the blessings we enjoy in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

November

We started off the month of November with a trip to Albuquerque for Mary Dodd’s baptism.
We stopped for a picnic at the arch on the way.

On November 9&10th We camped out at Tonto Basin and hiked to the very highest peak of Four Peaks. I could say it was an “amazing experience for me”,  but I’d be lying. I’ll be honest, I was on the verge of tears for the entire last 1/4 mile of rock climbing to the top. There were times my family waited patiently while I clung to the side of a large jagged boulder, trembling and literally paralyzed with fear. Then I’d hear hear Adam gently guide me...”put your right hand on this grip, bring your left foot over just a bit...” and from the kids “We love you mom! You got this, you’re doing great,  you’re doing it!!!”
I hated this hike. But I love my family and there’s nobody else in this world I would rather have a panic attack on a mountain with!

We spend Thanksgiving with the Gurrs in Florence this year. I wish I would’ve taken more pictures, but here are a couple from the buggy ride.

For my moms Birthday this year, we all surprised her with a “Backyard clean up”! It was so much fun working with all my siblings and their spouses and children. We hauled off a lot of old trash and stacked and moved around a lot of My dads woodworking logs.

October

We loved having Travis and Becky’s family here for a fun conference weekend!

The Trio had another awesome Choir concert.
(Not sure what happened to the picture of Caleb’s choir)
We are super proud of Caleb, he auditioned for and made it into the Honor choir at Snowflake high School!

We loved our Surprise visit from Ben and Suzi’s family! It was such a beautiful day and we all had so much fun together!

Sad day....Adam’s Dodge decided it was time to retire.
