I am so grateful that they have the opportunity to develop their talents and hope they will continue to improve.

Practice makes perfect!
The trio had their end of the year piano recital back in May. They had all worked so hard and practiced so much and it showed! They each played beautifully and their performances were flawless. I never have to remind them to practice. They enjoy playing the piano and they love their teacher "Miss E.".
Spring Break 2015
For spring break this year (way back in March) we decided to take the kids up to the cabin in Junction Creek. There was still quite a bit of snow, so we drove up the mountain as far as we could go, then we loaded up the snowmobiles with all of our gear and drove the rest of the way to the cabins. I was driving a "sled", Caleb was driving one and Adam was driving one. About 5 miles before we got to the cabin, Adams sled broke down and we had to load everyone onto two sleds. It was getting late and once we finally got to the cabin, I was dreading having to go back out with Adam to try and get his sled going and up to the cabin. I was cold and tired and stressed from the ride. That's when Caleb told me that he would go. It was hard watching "my little boy" leave with Adam. It was going to be fully dark in a little while and there were some steep drop-offs next to the road we drove up on. I could tell he was a little nervous, but he wanted to do this for me. The girls and I worked on getting dinner going and the cabin warmed up. We also prayed for Adam and Caleb's safety. And we waited..... After about 45 mins, (which seemed like an eternity) Caleb came walking thru the door with a big grin on his face. They got dad's sled running and he drove back by himself. I can't quite explain it, but somehow my son, who left that cabin just 45 mins earlier as a little boy, came back a man! Since that day I have never looked at him the same way. He is brave, and capable. He is strong and willing to work hard. I love the little boy that he was and I love the man that he is becoming.
We all loved our spring break trip, but Caleb and Adam loved it the most. They both love snowboarding and snowmobiling more than the rest of us. I loved being curled up with a good book in a nice warm cabin and the girls loved playing games. Most of all we love being together and making memories as a family. And that's what we did!
