We enjoyed watching General conference with our new neighbors; Richard and Calli!!! Richard and Calli officially moved in last month and it’s been so great having them next door.
Conference weekend was filled with so many wonderful, faith strengthening talks. The chandelier at Richard’s home made a pretty fun (and Holy) reflection on their T.V.!
Caleb had his wisdom teeth pulled! Thankfully, the Dr was able to remove them with no complications and Caleb healed up relatively easily.
Later that week, Adam and I were able to attend the Girl’s track meet in Pinetop. Both Eliza and Sarah did a great job!
Caleb spent that same weekend in Flagstaff performing in the All state High school Choir. At first he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to actually sing in the concert, because he was originally selected to attend as an alternate Bass. But, in the end he was able to be in the performance!! We were so happy to come hear him sing with the choir.
My friend Lola’s daughter was also in the choir, so after the concert, we all went out to eat and had a fun visit together.
April 19th was a historic day for our family! It was the day Caleb received his mission call!!!
He has been called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will preach the gospel in the Idaho Boise Mission. We are so Thankful that Caleb is worthy and willing and able to serve!
Shortly after Caleb received his mission call, my brother-in-law Travis sent this picture to us. I hadn’t seen this picture before and didn’t even know it existed. It had popped up on his phone as. “Memory” from 13 years ago! We thought it was so fun and amazing that the picture was taken on the exact date that Caleb received his mission call!
We took a quick trip down to the valley to check out a motorhome we were interested in buying. The motorhome was no good so we didn’t buy it, but the trip turned out to be a great one, because we were able to stop and visit Grandpa Burk. We sure love him.
Caleb and Sarah had their very last piano recital on the 24th.
This year is full of lasts for our family and this one was especially hard. We have loved “Miss E’s” lessons and recitals for the past 10 years. Jean Ellsworth has been one of our family’s greatest cheerleaders over the years. We will miss having her as a regular part of our lives.
Caleb and Sarah played beautifully. We are so grateful they have practiced and worked hard over the years to develop such a wonderful and useful talent.
Another “Last” this month was the Kid’s last home track meet. All three kids were able to participate and all of them did awesome. The girls are both heading to the state meet next month.
Adam has been working on making a path through the wash so we can ride buggies all the way to Aunt Pam and Uncle David’s house. This is a picture from when he and the kids, along with Richard’s family went exploring the wash and planned out their route.
