Happy Campers

On June 18th we went camping with Grandma and Grandpa Quist, Uncle Paul and Aunt Beth and their kids. We had a fun time and our friends the Burnetts came up to enjoy the cool mountain air with us. The kids had an awesome time learning to play kick the can with their cousins. We went on some fun buggy rides and when it got dark we went spotlighting and saw tons of elk. Adam made a zip line, the kids had fun for hours on that thing. We couldn't have campfires because it was just to dry so that was a bummer, but we did play with glow-in-the-dark bubbles and had fun playing with glow sticks. We also played frisbee golf, went on some fun hikes, and played lots of games. It was a fun filled week of camping.

Rober's Baptism/ Torren's Blessing

On June 9th, My nephiew Robert (Paul's son) was baptised, and on June 10th my nephiew Torren (Russ's son) was blessed.  I am so grateful that we were able to go to the valley share in the joy of these blessed events.
Ben and Suzi were kind enough to let us stay at their home during our visit. We enjoyed their hospitality.
On Sunday after the blessing, we drove by the new Gilbert, AZ Temple, which is currently under construction. It is such a beautiful and magnificent building. Afterwards we gathered at my parents home and spent a few hours visiting and playing games with everyone.
We were also able to take a little time to visit with Adam's Grandma and Grandpa Gurr. It was great to see Grandpa In such good health.
We are grateful for our extended families and the love and joy they bring into our lives.

A Visit From Ben And Suzi

On the very last day of school, We had some fun visitors arrive from the valley. My Brother Ben and his family came up for a few days. We played games, went for buggy rides, and played outside to our hearts content.
Their boys, Braxton and Kent are so cute!
We hope they can come and visit us again soon.

Feild day!

It seemed like the kids had one party after another on the last week of school. I was able to help out with the annual field day, and I had a lot of fun watching the kids play tug-o-war, have sack races,do the monkey bars, limbo, and get very, very wet from the fire truck.
Sarah was the prettiest monkey on the playground!

Thank you fire firghters for making the day so much fun.

GO ELIZA!!! Your're in the lead!

Caleb didn't let the cool wind stop him from getting soaked!

The kids had a wonderful school year and even though they are enjoying the summer, they already miss their teachers so much and can't wait to give them a big hug when school starts again next year.

There's Something Fishy Going on Here!

On Friday I had the privilege of getting to go with the Taylor Elementary 2nd Graders on a field trip to the Williams Fish Hatchery in White River.

Here are some pics from our Fabulous Fishy day:

It was so much fun riding a school bus again. (Insert sarcastic tone)
Well, it really was fun for the kids and after popping plenty of Tylenol it was fun for me too. ;)

The kids all got to feed the fish.

Millions of fish are hatched here every year. Once the fish grow big enough, they are loaded into tanks and then set free in the surrounding rivers and lakes. The smart fish will live happily ever after. The not-so-smart ones will end up in a skillet..

The fish would go crazy whenever a handful of food was Thrown to them.

What a fun day!

Mother's Day of my Dreams

My family completely spoiled me on Mother's day this year. It began with a yummy French toast breakfast made by Adam. Then, after church I got take a nice, long, uninterrupted nap. I woke up to a clean home and dinner was in the oven. I didn't have to lift a finger all day! We had the sister missionaries over for dinner and Adam and the kids took care of everything. I didn't even have to do the dishes! It was seriously the best day! I love Adam and the kids so much. They make my job as a mom so easy and so much fun!

Eliza's Poems

Eliza has written a TON of poems in school this year.
Here are a few of my personal favorites:

Me
by: Eliza Gurr

The important thing about me is
that I am good at soccer.
I am fast like a cheetah!
I am a girl
I can do a front flip and land it.
I feel good inside of me.
I am so talented
I can walk on my hands.
But the important thing about
me is that I am good at soccer.

Caleb
By: Eliza Gurr

The important thing about Caleb is
That he is smart and awesome!
He can play with me.
He is my friend and my brother.
He can help me if I get hurt.
He is the nicest brother in the
world.
But the important thing about Caleb
Is that he is smart
and Awesome.

Sarah
By: Eliza Gurr

The important thing about Sarah
is that she is sweet
and the best sister ever.
She can play with me.
She is awesome like I am.
She is amazing.
She can help me when I need it.
She is the nicest sister.
But the important thing about Sarah
is that she is sweet and the
best sister ever.

Eliza's teacher told me that Eliza makes it very clear that her family is her whole world and the most important thing in her life. I love these poems because they show just how she feels about her brother and sister (and herself). The cool thing is, they feel the same way about her! I am so blessed that my children are best friends with each other!
