Baby, It's Cold Outside!

It's been almost two and a half weeks since a big snow storm came and left us some fun snow to play in. Snow usualy doesn't stick around this long here in Taylor, but it's been SO cold there was still just enough to play in with cousins today.

Here are some pics of the fun we've been having :

These are pictures of  Adam and the kids in the back yard with the Ranger.

This is a hill by our house. We had fun here with the cousins!

Out With The Old.....

It's time to say Farewell to 2010 and to ring in 2011.
We had another wonderful year filled with many blessings which we are so very thankful for.
Adam has been able to continue to do tractor work along with the auto part delivery route. He is still working with the deacons in the Y.M. Presidency and continues to be the BEST dad and Father in the world.
I was able to start an exciting new chapter in my life this year. I now sell vintage clothing, accessories and housewares in my TWO shops on the Internet. I love Treasure hunting at the local thrift shops, and the extra little income has really blessed our family. I continue to serve in the ward primary presidency and LOVE IT!!
I also competed in a triathlon sprint this year and discovered that I may have a little bit of athlete in me after all.
Eliza is still a bundle of energy. She took some skateboarding lessons in the spring, and played Soccer in the fall. She is becoming a great little reader and brings so much joy and laughter into our home. We love our  little firecracker Eliza!
Sarah started taking violin lessons this year and is practicing so that one day she can play as well as  uncle Travis and uncle Richard. She Loves school and is learning so much. She is as sweet as ever, and warms our hearts with her love and smiles.
Caleb Is becoming quite the bike rider.Almost every day he can be seen trying new jumps and tricks on his bike. Caleb also played soccer this past fall and definitely wants to play again next year. He is excelling in school, and  learned all 13 Articles of Faith this year. We are so grateful that he's part of our eternal family.
As a family we finished reading the Book Of Mormon all the way through and celebrated with a party!
We welcomed Aunt Ashley into the family, as well as several new nieces and nephews.
We  have set some new goals for ourselves individually and as a family and look foreword to all that 2011 has to offer.

Snowed In

My Sister Lydia and her family came up for a quick visit  to pick up one of these adorable FREE puppies from our neighbor.

They picked this little sweet girl and named her Tippers (for the white tip on the end of her tail).

Shortly after this picture was taken, it started snowing....A LOT!!!
In fact, it snowed so much that they got Snowed in. All the roads going in and out of town were closed.
So, their quick trip became a little bit long trip and so.... we played A LOT!
Thanks for coming Hulses! We had a blast!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was somewhat of a whirlwind around here.
As much as we'd rather just stay home for Christmas, we decided to make a quick trip down to the valley on Christmas day to see our Grandparents.  Adam and I are so blessed to each have a set of Grandparents that are still very much a part of our lives, so we wanted to spend some time on Christmas day with them.
After an early morning at home enjoying wonderful Christmas presents, we drove down to my cousin Jared's home to gather with my extended Burk family.
Every year my Grandparents make and serve a wonderful Christmas brunch to all of their Children and grandchildren, and great grandchildren. As usual, it was a delicious feast and I loved visiting with my family.
The Gurr's  were able to have a little reunion with Grandma and Grandpa Gurr on Christmas night at Adam's sister Heather's home.  It was great to see so many Gurr cousins and aunts and uncles. And of course the grandparents.
We stayed the night at Heather's home, then after attending church, and visiting a little at my parents home, we headed back to Tayor.

Here are a few pics. of Christmas morning highlights....

As you can see we had a very merry Christmas. We hope you did too!

Taylor Elementary Christmas Concert

On Wednesday Dec. 15th. Taylor Elementary once again threw political correctness out the window and held it's annual CHRISTMAS concert!   Love It!

Eliza was given the honor of getting to participate in a special group song. They sang "I'm so Glad It's Christmas".

Her class then sang "Christmas in Killarney".

Sarah looked so cute dressed as a little poor boy while she sang "Little Drummer Boy" with her class.

Caleb's class sang "Christmas for Cowboys". Caleb even got to be one of the three kids chosen to show of some "trick rope" skills.

I enjoyed all of the songs that night. So many classes sang about the birth of our Savior.  I'm grateful to live in a community where Christ is the biggest part of  the Christmas celebrations.

Lucky 7

Seven years ago I became a mother to three of the most beautiful, talented, intelligent, witty and FUN kids on the earth.
Adam and I LOVE them so much and are grateful every day for the joy they bring to our lives.

For their birthday this year they each got new "Sunday" Clothes and.....Drum roll please....ZHU ZHU PETS!!!!!!! YAhOoO!! SO FUN!! They are enjoying their new "pets" immensely. And I am enjoying the fact that their pets don't poop, or run behind the refrigerator and chew holes in things.
